Jim Nilsen’s photographs are available in many sizes and printed on various surfaces.
7″x7″ Miniature Photos:
The prints are approximately 2×3 inches matted with a 2-ply Rising Museum Archival 7×7 inch white matt and backed with foam core. The black frames have a very thin profile, 1/8 inch, and are 7/8 inch deep.
Fine Art Prints:
The prints are made by Jim on a large format Canon printer using archival inks and archival Moab Entrada Rag Paper.
Fine Art Matted Prints:
The prints are made by Jim on a large format Canon printer using archival inks and archival Moab Entrada Rag Paper. They are mounted onto an archival backing board and then matted with 4-ply Rising Museum Archival white matt.
Canvas Gallery Wrap:
These pieces are printed on Breathing Color Lyve which is an OBA-Free (no yellowing) archival matte canvas. The canvas is coated with Breathing Color Glamour 2 varnish which will protect the photo from fading, moisture and abrasion. The canvas is then stretched onto 1.25 or 1.5 inch stretcher bars and is ready to hang without a frame. The finished pieces also look great in a shadow box frame. Talk to your local framer for ideas.
Prints on Aluminum:
The prints are made by infusing dyes directly into specially coated sheets of aluminum which delivers an incredible luminescence. Detail and resolution are unsurpassed. The pieces do not need a frame and are ready to hang via a float mount back which creates a 1/2 inch space between the wall and the back of the photo. The standard finish is a very High Gloss which really makes the photos glow. This surface is quite reflective, so if that is an issue please let us know and we can provide a Satin finish.
